Post-Doctoral Associate: Human Evolutionary Morphology Research Foundation, University at Buffalo, SUNY

The Department of Anthropology, University at Buffalo, SUNY invites applications for a fixed-term two-year Postdoctoral Associate in Human Evolutionary Morphology. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing and contributing to the newly established Buffalo Human Evolutionary Morphology Laboratory (BHEML) directed by Dr. Noreen von Cramon-Taubadel (PI). The role will involve conducting original research within the general area of human evolutionary morphology, database compilation, statistical analysis, and contributing to the training and supervision of graduate and undergraduate students. It is expected that the successful candidate possess strong analytical skills in geometric morphometrics, virtual anthropology and/or other statistical shape analysis techniques. A strong background in evolutionary biology is also essential. In their applications, candidates should emphasize how their research experience and interests integrate with those of the PI. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. by the time of appointment and must have received their Ph.D. degree within the past five years.
